Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ike Turner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva has chosen BLUNT- The Iron Maiden as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Matt Silva has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva misses with a body shot.
Silva doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Turner counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Silva dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Matt Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Turner misses with a straight right.
Silva avoids the body shot from Turner.
A looping hook to the body misses from Turner. Silva does a little dance to reset his feet.

Silva is looking to clinch but Turner is avoiding it.
Turner is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

Turner throws a sloppy head kick and Silva moves out of range easily.
Silva fails with an attempt to clinch.
Turner ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Turner wants to land a leg kick but Silva is out of range.
Silva swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Turner counters with a nice body kick.
Nice defenses there by Turner.
Turner throws a quick inside leg kick.
Turner with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Silva fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Turner checks it well.
Silva looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Silva misses with a straight right.
Silva tries to close the distance and clinch up but Turner swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Nice body punch from Turner.
Turner defending well as Silva loads up on a big left hand.
Silva checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Turner tests Silva's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Turner lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Turner lands a jab to the head.
Turner scores with a jab to the jaw.
Silva misses with a hook to the body
and Turner counters with a nice leg kick.
Silva tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Silva looks gassed!
Turner throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Silva misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Ike Turner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matt Silva.
Turner fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Silva.
Turner scores with a head kick.

It looks like Matt Silva has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Turner lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Turner connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Turner throws a jab but it's blocked by Silva.
Turner digs a good hook to Silva's body.
Turner fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Silva looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Silva takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Silva drops his hands momentarily and Turner takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Turner fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Turner feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Silva's calf.
Turner connects with a right hand. Silva shakes it off.
Silva uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Turner.
Turner comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Turner jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
A head kick misses from Turner.
Silva fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Turner manages to avoid it.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Silva lands a two punch combo.
The fighters circling - Turner throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Silva takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ike Turner dominated that round.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Turner changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Silva takes a kick to the side of the head.
Silva misses with a combination
and Turner counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Silva might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Turner has got the better of the exchanges.
Silva takes a shot to the body in his stride.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Turner moves into range and connects with a jab.

Silva is rocked!
Silva takes a swing at Turner's ribcage but misses.
Silva walks straight into a right hand from Turner - that's dropped him! Turner jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Silva from any more punishment! Silva complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
