PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mark Bulman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hideo Shiroma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Bulman might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Opposite of Adults. Mark Bulman has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Daniel Franklin and Alan Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bulman shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Shiroma defends it nicely.
Bulman takes one to the side of the head.
The fighters circling - Shiroma throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Sloppy strikes from Shiroma. Those never looked like landing.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Shiroma swings and misses with a hook to the body.
No luck for Bulman with that takedown attempt.
Shiroma feints a jab promting Bulman to slip. Shiroma then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Bulman slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Shiroma throws a series of punches but Bulman moves out of range.
Shiroma misses with a wild body shot.
Bulman uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Shiroma.
A slow jab from Bulman misses its intended target.
Shiroma fails to land with a series of punches.
Shiroma throws a right and a left that both miss.

Bulman pushes Shiroma up against the ropes in a clinch.
Shiroma has had enough of the clinch but Bulman keeps him there for the moment.
Bulman jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Shiroma walks away with a smile on his face. Bulman gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mark Bulman. That's going to take a lot out of him.

A jab from Shiroma finds it's way through Bulman's defenses.
Shiroma jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Shiroma scores with a nice head shot.
Shiroma lands a glancing blow to the side of Bulman's head.

Bulman is rocked!
Bulman shoots in but Shiroma avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Bulman scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Bulman fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Bulman keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Shiroma stalks Bulman and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Bulman's face. Bulman staggers backwards, shaken.
Oh Bulman is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Shiroma is pawing at Bulman, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into Bulman's nose. Bulman is badly hurt! Shiroma pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Bulman tries desperately to hold on but Shiroma is relentless in his assault! As Bulman receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Shiroma away and this one is in the books!
