PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jim Chang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tomas Pirhonen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pirhonen comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Last Caress kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pirhonen lands a head kick. Chang smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

It looks like Jim Chang has been cut.

Chang pushes Pirhonen up against the cage in a clinch.

Pirhonen fails to pull guard.
Chang lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.

Pirhonen escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Chang is looking to control Pirhonen's arms but Pirhonen gets an underhook and turns him. Now Chang has his back to the cage.

Pirhonen is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Pirhonen breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Pirhonen drops down looking for an ankle pick but Chang pulls his leg out and moves away.

Pirhonen pushes off an throws an elbow but Chang leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Pirhonen drops down looking for an ankle pick but Chang pulls his leg out and moves away.

Chang darts in and clinches Pirhonen up against the cage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Pirhonen.
Pirhonen's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Pirhonen lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Chang lands with a light punch inside.

Pirhonen is rocked!
Chang has a couple of punches blocked by Pirhonen.
Pirhonen is still on wobbly legs! Can Chang finish him?
Chang on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Pirhonen pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Pirhonen wants to take the fight to the mat but Chang manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Chang lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Pirhonen blocks an uppercut.
Chang scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Chang lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Pirhonen backwards.
Chang throws a big uppercut that drops Pirhonen! More strikes from Chang and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Pirhonen lies dazed against the cage as Chang celebrates with his cornermen!
