Criss has chosen La danse des canards as his entrance music. Vladimir Harkkonan could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Le Petit Criss's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Le Petit Criss!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Arvi Lind and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick from Criss lands but Harkkonan takes it in his stride.
Criss tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Harkkonan swivels and escapes.

It looks like Vladimir Harkkonan has been cut.

Criss has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Harkkonan is trying to keep an underhook but Criss manages to get the takedown into half guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Criss escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Criss drives through with a takedown into guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Criss is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Harkkonan can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Criss cracks Harkkonan with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Harkkonan is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Criss is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Harkkonan to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Harkkonan shrugs it off.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The referee warns Harkkonan that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Criss turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Criss manages to end up in side control.

Harkkonan knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Criss on the ground.

Criss tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Criss has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Criss takes a little break here. Harkkonan wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Criss has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Criss wants to lay and pray for a moment but Harkkonan keeps working.

Criss creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Harkkonan sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Criss has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Harkkonan is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Criss yanks on the arm and Harkkonan is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Criss.
