The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alves tries to clinch up but Tamble circles away and keeps his distance.
Tamble throws a series of punches but Alves moves out of range.
Tamble throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Tamble throws a sloppy head kick and Alves moves out of range easily.
Alves tries to bum rush Tamble with a series of wild strikes but Tamble uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Tamble misses with a series of wild punches.
Tamble misses with a two punch combination.
Tamble looks for a takedown but Alves sprawls well.
Tamble throws a series of punches but Alves avoids them all with ease.
Tamble shoots in but no luck this time.
Tamble misses with a double jab

and Alves counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Tamble is breathing heavily.

Alves thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Alves wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Tamble, who protects the arm well.
