The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Njokuani, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Mcdonel tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Njokuani ducks right into an uppercut from Mcdonel .

Mcdonel gets control of Njokuani's arms and successfully pulls guard. Mcdonel will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Njokuani accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Njokuani got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mcdonel has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Njokuani has managed to get both his arms back between Mcdonel 's legs - danger averted.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Anthony Njokuani.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Njokuani, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
