The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fulilangi moves out of range of the strikes.
Fulilangi lands a jab.

Deschain shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Fulilangi's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fulilangi really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Deschain. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Deschain is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Deschain lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Deschain sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Fulilangi's guard.

Fulilangi has hold of Deschain's hands but Deschain slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
