Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kia Blank (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricky Thompson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Blank has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Kia Blank has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, James Atkins and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blank fails with a takedown attempt.
Thompson looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Thompson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Blank. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Thompson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Blank has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Thompson has managed to get both his arms back between Blank's legs - danger averted.
Ricky Thompson is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Blank had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Thompson defends it easily.

Well Thompson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
