The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shain lands a jab.
Palhares takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Palhares shoots and misses
and Shain counters with a right hand to the body.
Nice sprawl there from Shain as Palhares shoots in.
A head kick misses from Shain.
Shain dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Shain will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Shain displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Palhares.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Housimar Palhares. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Palhares misses with a looping right.
Shain slaps away a takedown attempt from Palhares, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Shain cracks Palhares with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Shain has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Palhares to stand back up!

Palhares is rocked!
Shain drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of Palhares's head, knocking him out cold! Shain is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.
