The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Michaels jabs Conan right on the nose. Conan blinks but takes it well.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Conan throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Michaels lunges at Conan with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Conan's hand.
Conan scores with a sloppy right hand. Michaels should have avoided that one.

It looks like Gabriel Michaels has been cut.

Conan does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Michaels throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Conan tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Michaels is in Conan's guard.

Michaels really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Conan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Michaels accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Conan is trying to control the position but Michaels postures up.

Michaels drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
