Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jo El (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brusso Do (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jo El!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Brusso Do!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Sosuke Kotani and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Do lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and El has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from El and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from El is defended easily by Do.
El shoots for a takedown but Do saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
El throws a right and a left that Do avoids nicely.
Do throws a leg kick that misses.

El shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
El trying to control the pace.
El trying to pass the guard but Do defending well.

Do avoiding damage under a succession of punches from El.
Do trying to control but El postures up.
El not landing any meaningful shots this time.
El takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Do is refusing to be controlled, as El sits in half guard.

Do is looking to control El's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Do avoid being mounted?
El tries to pass the half guard into mount. Do knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
El thows a huge punch but Do dodges it nicely.
El is trying to control the action in half guard but Do is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

El throws an elbow that misses. Do uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in El's guard. Nice move by Do!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
El wants to improve his position but instead Do has moved into half guard.
Do is looking to take a break and control but El is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
El wants to control but Do is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Do is pressing down on El's thigh, looking to free his foot. El is holding on for now.

Do is just content to waste time from the top position. El takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

El is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Do tries to stand but El is controlling from the bottom.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Do defends well against a solid takedown attempt from El.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jo El. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Do throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
No joy there for El, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
El sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
El misses with a looping left.
Brusso Do is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Do lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from El is defended easily by Do.
El just misses with a punch to the body.

El throws a right hand that misses
and Do connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
El misses with a left hand
and Do makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Do tries to close the distance and clinch but El swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Do punishes El's body with a nice straight punch.
Do cracks El with a good jab.
Do throws a leg kick but El sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Do misses with a hook. El ducked under it nicely.
Do is looking to slow El down with leg kicks.
This has been an exciting period of action!

El throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Do tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. El is in Do's guard.

Do is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
El throwing strikes from guard but Do blocks nicely.
Do trying to control the position here.
El wants to control from the top but Do keeps moving.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


El throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Do.
El misses with a left hand
and Do counters with a head kick. That will keep El thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Do avoids the body shot from El.
Do blocks a jab.
Do misses with a leg kick.
Do fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt El.
Do with a nice cross.
El throws a series of punches but Do moves out of range.
El rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Do makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Do throws a leg kick but El moved away.

Do fails in his attempt to clinch.
Do avoids the body shot from El.
El on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Do. Do obviously looking to wear him down.
El misses with a takedown attempt
and Do counters with a solid body kick.
Do misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from El.
El gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Do counters with a good low kick that El was not able to check.
Brusso Do seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Do swings and misses with a hook to the body.
El avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
El throws a big shot that misses.

Do catches El with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Do tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but El was well out of range. Poor timing from Do.
El throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Do wants to clinch

and El counters with a nice double leg into side control. Do won't be happy with that.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Do is looking to reverse the position.
Do sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
El throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Do to regain full guard.
El won't allow Do to sweep him here.
El stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Do swivels though and keeps the full guard.

El sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Do's guard.

Do is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

El slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Jo El overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
El working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Do utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Do looking to hit a scissor sweep but El is one step ahead there.
El is working Do over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Do is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of El's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take El's back!
