Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dwight DeNiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Barbossa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barbossa throws a right and a left that DeNiro avoids nicely.
DeNiro with a lazy takedown attempt
and DeNiro takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Barbossa feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Barbossa would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Barbossa passes DeNiro's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Barbossa decides to take the fight back to the feet.
No joy there for Barbossa, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Barbossa closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into DeNiro's guard.

Barbossa gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Jake Barbossa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Barbossa shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches DeNiro napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Barbossa thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Barbossa is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but DeNiro is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
DeNiro prevents Barbossa from moving into mount.

Barbossa fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Barbossa takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Barbossa has control of DeNiro's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and DeNiro regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Barbossa goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now DeNiro is on top in guard.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Barbossa has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think DeNiro should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Barbossa has tightened it up now! DeNiro should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
