Velilkov tries to stand and escape but Franklin is controlling the position.
Franklin tries to kick Velilkov off but Velilkov keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Stanko Velilkov.
Franklin changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Velilkov tries to avoid it but Franklin manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Velilkov to the ground. Velilkov escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Franklin throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Velilkov moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Franklin doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Franklin dodges the punch combination from Velilkov.
Velilkov misses with a wild combination.
Velilkov looks to land a body kick but Franklin moved away.
Franklin takes a swing at Velilkov's ribcage but misses.

Velilkov jabs Franklin right on the nose. Franklin blinks but takes it well.
Chuck Franklin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Velilkov scores with a nice right hand.
Franklin throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Velilkov's waist but Velilkov gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Franklin off to one side.
Velilkov misses with a wild combination.

Velilkov is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
A slow jab from Franklin misses its intended target.

Velilkov closes the distance and pushes Franklin back into the cage.

Velilkov tightens his grip and picks Franklin up, before dumping him to the ground. Franklin manages to land in guard.

Velilkov is posturing up here but Franklin has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Velilkov tries to roll out but it's too tight and Velilkov has to tap! Slick submission there by Franklin!
