Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Connors (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alacrity Fitzhugh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fitzhugh comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Master of Puppets kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Alacrity Fitzhugh!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fitzhugh tries to clinch

so Connors counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Fitzhugh looking for a guillotine here but Connors defends easily.

Connors gets to his feet. Fitzhugh looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Fitzhugh closes the distance looking to clinch

and Connors counters with a nice double leg into side control. Fitzhugh won't be happy with that.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Fitzhugh is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Connors has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Fitzhugh is trying desperately to improve position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Connors looking to finish Fitzhugh with some ground and pound. This is bad for Fitzhugh!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Fitzhugh tries to reverse the position but Connors maintains control.
Fitzhugh swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
Connors looking to control but Fitzhugh is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Fitzhugh flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Fitzhugh can't escape the position.
Connors avoids the attempt from Fitzhugh to control.
Fitzhugh tries to improve his position but instead Connors has taken his back!
I would not like to be Fitzhugh right now.
Fitzhugh trying to get back to his feet but Connors is in full control for now.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fitzhugh can't escape the position.

Connors is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Fitzhugh has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
Fitzhugh manages to reverse the position and now he's in Connors's guard. Nice work there by Fitzhugh.
Fitzhugh would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Fitzhugh has gone for a leg lock! Connors slips out almost immediately though and dives into Fitzhugh's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Fitzhugh wants to reverse the position here. Connors has hold of a leg though and he's dropped back looking for a kneebar! The fighters roll across the mat but Fitzhugh is forced to tap! Fitzhugh looks devastated but at least his leg points in the right direction.
