Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nate Marquardt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Roy Brown!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Jorge Garcia and Bruno Lombardi.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marquardt thows a body shot but no joy.
Marquardt shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Brown pinned against the cage. Brown gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Brown showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Marquardt.
Brown dodges the punch combination from Marquardt.
Marquardt throws a series of punches but Brown avoids them all with ease.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Brown fails to land the takedown.
Marquardt throws a nice looking combination but Brown bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Marquardt swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Brown shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Brown distracts Marquardt with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Brown stands up over Marquardt, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Marquardt knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Brown on the ground.
Brown is looking to work some ground and pound but Marquardt has wrist control.

Marquardt is working to avoid the ground and pound but Brown connects with a decent elbow.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Brown cracks Marquardt with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Oh Marquardt is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Brown tries for a kimura but Marquardt is defending well.

Brown is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Marquardt is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Brown is working Marquardt over with some ground and pound from side control.
Brown lands a strong strike to the head of Marquardt. That's dazed him! Brown looking to finish here. Marquardt is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Brown lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
