Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Paul Stewart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adelso Junior (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Paul Stewart!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Adelso Junior!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Stewart looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Junior!
Junior really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Stewart is standing up, even though he is in mount.
Some bone on bone action there as Junior checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Stewart swats away the attempt to clinch by Junior.

Stewart looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Junior looks gassed!

Stewart decides to stand and escape the position.
Junior tries for a takedown but Stewart sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Stewart looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Stewart moves in looking to clinch but Junior pushes him off.

Stewart closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Junior's guard.

Junior being controlled here, momentarily.
Stewart works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Stewart wants to pass the guard but Junior is defending well.
Stewart slows the pace down in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Stewart's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Stewart is working for a kimura but Junior is defending it quite comfortably.
Junior is looking to improve his position.

Stewart stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Junior to get to his feet.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Junior connects with a good right hand that stumbles Stewart. Stewart circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Stewart shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Junior is trying to defend but Stewart finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Stewart decides to stand and escape the position.
Junior tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Stewart swivels and escapes.
Stewart throws a solid leg kick but Junior takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Stewart.

Stewart takes the fight into the clinch.
Stewart misses with a body punch.

Stewart gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Junior regains guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Stewart avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Stewart pushes down on Junior's leg and manages to get into half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Stewart passes the guard and advances to mount!
Stewart controlling the pace for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Stewart has managed to clinch.

Stewart works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Stewart advances position into side control!
Stewart scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Junior to see if he's OK.
Stewart has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Junior!
Junior is breathing heavily.
Stewart lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

Stewart with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Junior is in all sorts of trouble here.
Stewart trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Stewart postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Junior looks a forlorn figure.
Junior is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Stewart working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Junior tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Stewart sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

Stewart trying to control but Junior is having none of it.
Junior can't escape the position.
Stewart looking to control and managing it successfully.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Junior is looking to improve his position but Stewart isn't that keen on the idea.
Stewart breaks from Junior's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Junior tries to reverse the position but Stewart maintains control.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Stewart is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Junior can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Stewart looking to control and managing it successfully.
Junior has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
Junior is covering up but some of the strikes from Stewart are getting through and doing damage.
I really don't envy Junior right now.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Junior is defending well here and trying to improve his position.

Stewart is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Junior is defending well though. Stewart let's go of the attempt for now.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Junior manages to reverse the position and now he's in Stewart's guard. Nice work there by Junior.

Stewart is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Stewart is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Stewart scoring with strikes but Junior is staying in there.
Stewart fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Stewart tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Stewart can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Junior is looking to escape.
Stewart in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Junior keeps the fight on the outside.

Stewart closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Junior to the mat! Junior manages to get full guard.
Stewart passes Junior's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Stewart wants to take a breather but Junior is having none of it.
Stewart passes the guard and advances to mount!
Stewart manages to capitalize on a mistake by Junior to take his back!

Junior rolls, trying to escape but Stewart keeps control of the position.
Stewart is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Junior can do to turn this around?

Stewart is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Junior knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Junior for a finish.
Junior wants to get back to his feet.

Stewart working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Junior is doing well to defend. Stewart seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Junior is forced to tap and this one is over!
