PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tony Jones Stark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tobias Green (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Green has chosen Impulse - An Endless Sporadic as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stark misses with a double jab.

Stark forces Green back against the cage and clinches.
Stark dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.
The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Stark for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure.
Stark is defending well against a takedown attempt.

Stark breaks from the clinch.
Green shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Stark pinned against the cage. Stark gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Stark fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Green, pushing him back against the cage.

Green looks gassed!

Green feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Stark clinches up against the cage.

Green gets tackled into the cage by Stark. Stark maintains the clinch.

Stark manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Green manages to get himself to full guard.

Stark tries to stand and escape but Green is controlling the position.

Stark looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Stark tries to pass to full mount but Green defends it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Stark thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

A combination from Stark does no damage.
Stark fails in his attempt to clinch.
Green shoots in looking for a takedown. Stark tries to sprawl out of it but Green keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Stark manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Green decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Tony Jones Stark.

Stark closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Green to the mat! Green manages to get full guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Stark is trying to get an arm triangle but Green is defending well.

Stark wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Green, who protects the arm well.

Stark looking to control but instead Green has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard.

Stark wants to finish this one by submission but Green is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Stark.

The referee is keeping an eye on Stark - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Stark seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression.

Green working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Stark is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Green postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Stark is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Green, into his guard.

Green has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Stark can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
