The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fanoogon throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Silva looks to land a combination but Fanoogon avoids it well.
Fanoogon throws a hook but Silva avoids it easily.
Fanoogon avoids the head kick by Silva.
Fanoogon with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Silva to score with a decent uppercut.
Silva goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

Fanoogon darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Silva moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Fanoogon shoots in for a takedown but Silva shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Richie Fanoogon hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Silva swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Silva tries to bum rush Fanoogon with a series of wild strikes but Fanoogon uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Fanoogon throws a nice looking combination but Silva bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Silva takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Fanoogon slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Richie Fanoogon has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Fanoogon keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Fanoogon.

Silva lands a head kick. Fanoogon smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Fanoogon takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

A jab from Silva finds it's way through Fanoogon's defenses.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Fanoogon tries to bum rush Silva with a series of wild strikes but Silva uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Fanoogon changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Silva tries to avoid it but Fanoogon manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Silva to the ground. Silva escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Silva throws a head kick that half lands.
Fanoogon shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Silva pinned against the cage. Silva gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Gregory Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Richie Fanoogon.

and Silva counters with a good, hard body kick but Fanoogon shrugs it off.
Fanoogon is breathing heavily.

Silva throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Fanoogon is rocked!

The cut above Richie Fanoogon's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Fanoogon throws a wild hook but Silva just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Fanoogon gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Silva raises his hands in celebration and walks away!
