Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between New Brawler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Morty Gaggle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Morty Gaggle will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brawler misses with an uppercut

and Gaggle counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Gaggle.
Brawler can't break the clinch.
Brawler is trying to pull guard but Gaggle has him pressed against the cage.
Brawler wants to get back to striking at distance but Gaggle won't allow it.
Gaggle misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Brawler.
Brawler jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Gaggle walks away with a smile on his face. Brawler gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
New Brawler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Brawler lands a jab to Gaggle's midsection.

Gaggle closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Gaggle stands up out of the half guard.
Gaggle avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
A jab lands there for Brawler.

Gaggle fails to land the takedown.

Gaggle shoots in but no luck this time.
Gaggle closes this distance looking for a takedown but Brawler circles away.
New Brawler has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Morty Gaggle.

Brawler jabs Gaggle to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Brawler fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Gaggle manages to avoid it.

Gaggle on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Gaggle shoots in looking for a takedown. Brawler tries to sprawl out of it but Gaggle keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Brawler manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Brawler cracks Gaggle with a right hand to the side of the head.
Brawler moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Gaggle tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Brawler manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Brawler throws a good cross that connects.

Gaggle drops down looking for an ankle pick but Brawler pulls his leg out and moves away.

Brawler lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Gaggle circles away quickly and effectively.

Brawler lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Gaggle tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Brawler swivels and escapes.

Gaggle moves forwards but Brawler connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Gaggle takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Brawler throws a big shot that misses.
The crowd cheers as Brawler lands an impressive looking overhand right. Gaggle doesn't seem phased though.
Gaggle walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Brawler lands a hook that snaps the head of Gaggle backwards.
Gaggle keeps control of Brawler as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Brawler has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Brawler wants to get back to striking at distance but Gaggle won't allow it.
Brawler is trying to push Gaggle away but Gaggle has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Gaggle looking to throw knees to the head but Brawler is blocking nicely.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Gaggle wants a takedown but no success here.
Brawler wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Gaggle is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Brawler is defending well for now.
Brawler tries to circle away but Gaggle has him pinned against the cage.
Gaggle has a couple of punches blocked by Brawler.

Brawler is fighting off a takedown attempt but Gaggle is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Brawler to the mat. Brawler regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

New Brawler dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Brawler moves into range and connects with a jab.
Brawler throws a looping overhand right but Gaggle ducks down to avoid it.
Brawler throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Gaggle stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Brawler throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Brawler wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Gaggle throws an elbow but it misses.
A head punch on the inside from Brawler fails to land.
Brawler has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Brawler tries to break free but Gaggle pushes him back against the cage.

Gaggle wants the takedown. Brawler is fighting it off but Gaggle persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Brawler's guard against the cage.
Brawler can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Gaggle controls the pace.
Gaggle is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Gaggle is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Morty Gaggle.

Brawler fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Brawler shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Gaggle eats them both and turns towards Brawler to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Brawler works Gaggle's body with a nice hook.
Brawler throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Good exchange - Brawler coming out on top.
Gaggle uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Brawler.
Gaggle needs to keep his hands up - Brawler had a free shot at his head there.
Brawler tries for a takedown but Gaggle sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Some bone on bone action there as Gaggle checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Gaggle closes the distance and pushes Brawler back into the cage.

Gaggle lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Brawler!

Gaggle prevents Brawler from getting the reversal.

The referee warns Brawler that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Brawler wants to hold on but Gaggle pushes him away.
Gaggle has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Gaggle lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Brawler is trying to defend against the choke here but Gaggle has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Gaggle Tightens the hold and Brawler taps out furiously! Gaggle displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
