The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, William Peck and Robert Douchet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kang is looking to clinch but Fitzgibbon is avoiding it.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Kang.
Kang throws a quick inside leg kick.
Kang lands a nice looking body kick.
Kang turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Fitzgibbon throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Fitzgibbon takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kang chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Fitzgibbon looks gassed!
Kang defending well as Fitzgibbon loads up on a big left hand.
Fitzgibbon takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Kang lands a slapping body shot.
Paulo Kang seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kang scores with a jab to the jaw.
Kang throws a big shot that misses.
Fitzgibbon shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Kang connects with a leg kick. Fitzgibbon looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Fitzgibbon closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Fitzgibbon on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Kang lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Fitzgibbon at a distance.
Kang fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Fitzgibbon.
Kang tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Fitzgibbon uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Kang.
Kang misses with an uppercut.
Kang getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Fitzgibbon takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Kang waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Fitzgibbon.
Paulo Kang is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kang scores with the left hand. Fitzgibbon knows he should have avoided that one.
Kang scores with a crisp jab that stopped Fitzgibbon in his tracks.

Fitzgibbon is rocked!
Kang cracks Fitzgibbon with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Fitzgibbon tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Kang pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Fitzgibbon is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Paulo Kang!
