Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mordecai Wollsey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scot Sloan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Alexandre Firmino and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloan finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Wollsey feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Sloans jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Wollsey moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
It looks like Scot Sloan has been cut.
Wollsey throws a leg kick that misses.
Wollsey will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Sloan takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Wollsey scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Sloan darts in and clinches Wollsey up against the ropes.

Wollsey misses with a hook to the ribs.
Sloan throws a knee to the head but misses.
Wollsey tries for a takedown. No joy.

Wollsey is pushing Sloan up against the ropes, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Sloan misses with a hook from the clinch.
Sloan lands a right hand that snaps the head of Wollsey backwards.
Wollsey wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Sloan with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Sloan connects with a nasty looking knee right to Wollsey's face.

Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Sloan obliges.

Wollsey pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Wollsey walks into a straight right hand from Sloan.
Wollsey throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Sloan lands a nice leg kick that just misses Wollsey's sensitive parts.
Wollsey scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Sloan doesn't seem bothered though.

Sloan misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Sloan tries a head kick but it misses.

Sloan lands with a kick to the temple. Wollsey shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Wollsey dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Sloan. That did some damage!
Wollsey misses with a series of wild punches.
Wollsey cracks Sloan with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Sloan tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Wollsey throws a body punch but Sloan moves out of range.

Sloan throws a sloppy head kick
and Wollsey cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Sloan is rocked!
Sloan looks gassed!
Wollsey throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Sloan stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Sloan is still on wobbly legs! Can Wollsey finish him?
Wollsey cracks Sloan with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the ropes! Sloan falls to his knees and Wollsey doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mordecai Wollsey!
After winning the bout, Mordecai Wollsey thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
