Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Viktor Lagutenko and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turpaan throws a sloppy body shot
and Abdul Karim counters with a single leg into guard. Turpaan didn't expect that.
Abdul Karim throws a big elbow that misses.
Abdul Karim passes Turpaan's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Abdul Karim tries to pass the half guard into mount. Turpaan knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Turpaan is trying to control but Abdul Karim manages to pass to mount!
Abdul Karim fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Abdul Karim cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Abdul Karim postures up and throws a massive shot that knocks Turpaan out cold! Two more strikes to his unconscious opponent for good luck and this one is all over! Abdul Karim goes absolutely crazy with his corner! Wow, you can see how much that win means to him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Zaid Abdul Karim!
A pretty intense looking Zaid Abdul Karim took the opportunity post-fight to ask for a shot at the title.
