The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Skip Squint and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A momentary lapse in concentration from Gaulterie enables Pacquiao to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Gaulterie manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Pacquiao throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Gaulterie works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Pacquiao closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Gaulterie to the mat! Gaulterie manages to get full guard.

Pacquiao fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Gaulterie sprawls well initially but Pacquiao persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Pacquiao wants to control but Gaulterie is keeping him busy.
Pacquiao is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Gaulterie doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Pacquiao.

Floyd Pacquiao decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
