Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mercito Gesta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ali East (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
East throws a leg kick that misses.
Gesta tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Ali East seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

East gets caught flat footed, as Gesta shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Gesta wants to pass the guard but East is keeping the position.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Gesta has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Gesta lands a strong strike to the head of East. That's dazed him! Gesta looking to finish here. East is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Gesta lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
