The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cooper clinches up with Thorne and pushes him back against the cage.

Cooper tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Thorne manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Thorne fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Cooper manages to avoid it.

Thorne fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Cooper looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Cooper throws a combination. Thorne tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Thorne lands a jab to Cooper's midsection.

Thorne throws a solid leg kick but Cooper takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Thorne.
Some bone on bone action there as Cooper checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Cooper lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Thorne circles away quickly and effectively.

and Cooper counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Cooper has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Thorne.
Cooper sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Thorne takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Thorne cracks Cooper with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
