PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Heath Legg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dhe Orele (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Legg comes to the cage accompanied by Angel of Death. Orele comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Ironman kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice jab there from Orele.
Orele lands with a straight right. Legg didn't see that one coming.
Legg wants to clinch up but Orele keeps it at a distance.
Orele throws a looping overhand right but Legg ducks down to avoid it.
Legg takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Orele closes the distance and clinches.
Legg tries to throw a body punch but Orele avoids it by throwing Legg back against the cage.
Orele is leaning against Legg and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.

Orele breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Orele is trying to stand up here but Legg is controlling him well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Legg looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Orele walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Legg checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Legg changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Orele looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Orele is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Legg wants to lay and pray for a moment but Orele keeps working.
Orele wants to control but Legg postures up.
Orele wants to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Legg looking to control but instead Orele has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard.

Orele pushes Legg off and gets back to his feet.

Orele throws a sloppy head kick and Legg moves out of range easily.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Orele keeps the fight on the outside.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Legg.
Orele swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Legg is looking to take a break and control but Orele is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Dhe Orele seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Legg shoots in looking for a takedown. Orele tries to sprawl out of it but Legg keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Orele manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Orele throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Legg moves in looking to clinch but Orele pushes him off.
Legg gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Orele.

Legg has Orele pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Orele manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Legg tries to clinch but Orele is having none of it.
A punch lands to the side of Legg 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Orele has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Orele throws a front kick aimed at Legg's knee but Legg avoids it well.

Orele connects with a good right hand that stumbles Legg. Legg circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Legg closes the distance and clinches up with Orele, looking for a takedown. Legg pushes Orele against the cage but Orele circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Heath Legg. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Orele swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Legg.

and Legg makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Orele really felt that one!

Legg shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
