Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Talib Kweli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lucious LaFleur (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kweli comes to the cage accompanied by 2Pac - Hit em up . LaFleur is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: 2001 a space odyssey. Talib Kweli has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
LaFleur with a poor takedown
and Kweli counters with a lovely shot to the body.
A lazy left from Kweli finds it's target.
A nice combination there by LaFleur.
LaFleur has a takedown stuffed.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from LaFleur is defended easily by Kweli.
Talib Kweli has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lucious LaFleur.
LaFleur lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Kweli lands a nice hook to LaFleur's body. LaFleur takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Kweli throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around LaFleur's waist but LaFleur gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kweli off to one side.
LaFleur throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kweli.

Kweli stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. LaFleur swivels though and keeps the full guard.

LaFleur kicks Kweli off and gets to his feet.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Kweli fakes high and swings low for a body shot but LaFleur manages to avoid it.
LaFleur shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kweli as he avoids it easily.

Kweli throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. LaFleur was covering up waiting for the punch and Kweli finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Talib Kweli overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
LaFleur can't escape the position.

Kweli misses with a takedown attempt - LaFleur sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Kweli leaves LaFleur with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Kweli drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kweli jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

LaFleur is looking to sinch up a triangle. Kweli throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to LaFleur's body to avoid the submission. LaFleur has instead reached around Kweli's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! LaFleur arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
