Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Steven Ransom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Royce Almeada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steven Ransom has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Daniel Cesar and Felipe Paraventi.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Almeada uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Ransom.

Almeada scores with a takedown into Ransom's guard.
Almeada pushes down on Ransom's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Almeada is looking for a kimura but Ransom is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Almeada to get the leverage.
Ransom wants to get back to his feet.
Ransom is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Almeada wants to control but Ransom is keeping him busy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Almeada stalling.
Ransom moves into full guard.
Almeada postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Almeada stays in close to Ransom's body and controls the position.
Almeada works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Almeada perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Almeada is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Ransom doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Almeada.
Ransom is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Almeada missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Almeada thows a huge punch but Ransom dodges it nicely.
Ransom tries to roll over but Almeada keeps him under control.
Almeada content to control rather than advance.

Almeada is working for a kimura but Ransom is defending it quite comfortably.
Almeada looks gassed!

Almeada is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Ransom defends it well.
Almeada blocks the strikes from Ransom.
Ransom knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Almeada on the ground.

Almeada is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Ransom is just riding it out for now. Almeada eventually gives up the hold.

Ransom wants to get back to full guard.
Almeada trying to control the action but Ransom is working from the bottom.
Ransom is looking for a sweep. Almeada is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Almeada is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Almeada fails with a takedown attempt.
Ransom digs a good hook to Almeada's body.
Ransom lands a lovely overhand right.
Ransom dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Almeada bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Almeada is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Ransom looks calm but he's in trouble here. Almeada gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Ransom is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Almeada lets go of the hold and Ransom can pop his arm back in it's socket.
