Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kaimana Kalainawai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexandr Suvorov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Kalainawai might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Collie Buddz - She Gimme Love. Suvorov has chosen World in Conflict - Polyushko-Pole. as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Suvorov staying out of range there.

Suvorov throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Kalainawai was covering up waiting for the punch and Suvorov finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Kalainawai looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Suvorov postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Kalainawai is looking for a triangle but Suvorov pushes his legs off easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kalainawai looking for subs off his back but Suvorov has passed one foot through into half guard.
Suvorov throwing shots but Kalainawai is blocking nicely.

Kalainawai is looking for a triangle but Suvorov pushes his legs off easily.

Kalainawai had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Suvorov defends it easily.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Suvorov drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Suvorov jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Kalainawai has his foot on Suvorov's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Suvorov works his way back into a safe position though.

That was a close round but I would say that Kaimana Kalainawai will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Kalainawai has gone for a leg lock! Suvorov slips out almost immediately though and dives into Kalainawai's guard.

Suvorov wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Kalainawai, who protects the arm well.

Kalainawai is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Suvorov off and has taken his back!

That was a close second round but I would say that Kaimana Kalainawai will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Suvorov uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kalainawai.

Kalainawai shoots in looking for a takedown but Suvorov manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kalainawai's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Nice straight punches there by Suvorov. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Suvorov.
Suvorov throws a looping overhand right but Kalainawai ducks down to avoid it.
Kalainawai scores with a jab. Suvorov acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Suvorov stuffs the takedown attempt from Kalainawai. Kalainawai gets slowly back to his feet.
Suvorov feints a jab promting Kalainawai to slip. Suvorov then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Kalainawai slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Suvorov feints and as Kalainawai raises his hands in defense, Suvorov changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kalainawai has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Suvorov has passed into side control.

Kalainawai tries to buck Suvorov off but Suvorov is having none of it.
Kalainawai can't do much from the bottom here.

Kalainawai has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Suvorov doesn't defend quickly enough and Kalainawai has managed to lock this one up! Can Suvorov escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Kalainawai on a fantastic submission victory.
