The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haugen avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Simpson throws a good cross that connects.
Haugen connects with a high kick.

It looks like Bart Simpson has been cut.
Simpson throws a right and a left that both miss.
Simpson keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Simpson closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Simpson scores with a hook to the body. Haugen takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Haugen tries to clinch but Simpson is having none of it.
Simpson lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Haugen tries to close the distance and clinch but Simpson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Haugen has taken the fight to the clinch.
Simpson pushes Haugen back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Haugen pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Haugen is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Haugen swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Haugen closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Haugen tries for a takedown but Simpson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Haugen takes one to the side of the head.
The crowd cheers as Simpson lands an impressive looking overhand right. Haugen doesn't seem phased though.
Haugen looks gassed!

Simpson throws an uppercut from hell that sends Haugen clean off his feet! He's out cold! Simpson stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.
