Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dzelaludin Smajlovic!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, David Hay!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Yves DeLean and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Smajlovic pushes Hay up against the cage in a clinch.
Hay tries for a takedown but Smajlovic manages to get underhooks.

Smajlovic's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Smajlovic swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

It looks like David Hay has been cut.
Hay has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Smajlovic is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Hay struggles to land a body shot inside as Smajlovic controls his hands.
Smajlovic lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Still in the clinch, Smajlovic scores with a nice short uppercut.


Hay is rocked!
Hay wants to take the fight to the mat but Smajlovic manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Dzelaludin Smajlovic has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of David Hay.
Hay is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Smajlovic gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Nice body punch from Smajlovic.
Hay looks gassed!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hay is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Smajlovic pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Hay is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Smajlovic to keep the fight standing.
Smajlovic stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Hay's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Smajlovic breaks from the clinch.

Smajlovic closes the distance looking for a takedown. Hay stuffs it but Smajlovic still has hold of him. Smajlovic picks Hay up in a fireman's lift! The crowd roars in approval. Smajlovic slams Hay to the floor and that's really hurt Hay - he doesn't know where he is! Smajlovic throws a couple of strikes and the referee steps in to save him! This one is in the books!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dzelaludin Smajlovic!
