Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Alexi Laiho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Don Opas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Laiho kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Lookin' Out My Backdoor. Opas has chosen AC/DC - Thunderstruck as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 8 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alexi Laiho!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Don Opas!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Dmitry Maklakov and Aleksandr Martynov.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laiho swings for the body but Opas moves out of range.
Opas uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Laiho.
Opas fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Laiho has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Laiho misses with a lunging right hand
and Opas counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Opas is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Laiho misses with a left hand
enabling Opas to counter with a crisp jab.
Laiho getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Opas ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Opas.
Opas throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Opas moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Laiho throws an off balance right hand
and Opas counters with a slapping leg kick.
Alexi Laiho seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Laiho is breathing heavily.
A good leg kick by Opas.
Opas looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Opas goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

It looks like Alexi Laiho has been cut.
Laiho takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Opas darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Opas cracks Laiho with a right hand to the side of the head.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Opas.
Laiho has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Opas scores with a head kick.
Laiho takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Laiho takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Laiho is rocked!
Opas throws a nice outside leg kick.

Opas feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Laiho sprawling to the canvas! Laiho rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Opas finish him?!
Oh Laiho is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Opas drops Laiho with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Laiho looks back up at him and smiles so Opas waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
