Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Chico Lockdown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matthew Wispe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wispe has chosen Me Against The World as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lockdown tries to score a power double leg takedown but Wispe sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lockdown somewhat.

Wispe looks to throw the jab but Lockdown is out of range.

Wispe fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Lockdown has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Lockdown dives in and grabs Wispe's left leg, looking for a takedown. Wispe pushes down on Lockdown's head and hops out.

Wispe is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Lockdown pulls his head out easily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Lockdown is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Wispe sees it coming and defends easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chico Lockdown dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Lockdown closes the distance and clinches up with Wispe, looking for a takedown. Lockdown pushes Wispe against the cage but Wispe circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Wispe might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Lockdown is trying to stick to Wispe's back but Wispe is turning into Lockdown. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Lockdown's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Wispe.

Wispe got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lockdown has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Wispe has managed to get both his arms back between Lockdown's legs - danger averted.

Lockdown has control of Wispe's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Wispe regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Lockdown has hold of Wispe's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Wispe manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Chico Lockdown.
