The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Manson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says walker as he avoids it easily.
walker throws a nice looking combination but Manson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
walker staying out of range there.
Manson shoots in for a double leg but walker sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
walker shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
A solid leg kick lands there for walker.

walker closes the distance and clinches.
walker takes an elbow to the forehead.
Manson lands a nice elbow from the clinch.

walker successfully pulls guard.
walker is looking to stand up but Manson isn't so interested in that idea.

walker has his foot on Manson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Manson works his way back into a safe position though.

walker uses his free foot to push down on Manson's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Manson.
Manson wants to control but walker is having none of it.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
walker is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Manson has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Manson!

walker is looking for a sweep. Manson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

That was a close second round but I would say that jack walker will probably get the nod.

Manson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with walker. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

walker stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.

walker bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

walker looks to land a combination. Manson sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

and walker decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Manson's guard.
Manson has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
