Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Don Cragen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Weak Knees (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cragen comes to the cage accompanied by Captain Cragen. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Don Cragen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Weak Knees!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cragen closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Knees did well to prevent Cragen getting side control.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Knees moves into full guard.
Cragen in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Cragen stopping the sweep attempt from Knees.
Knees keeping moving, preventing Cragen from controlling successfully.
Knees is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Knees is controlling Cragen's posture.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Cragen's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Knees has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cragen can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Knees has Cragen pulled in close to control his posture.
Knees wants to get back to his feet but Cragen is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Knees is trying to control the position but Cragen postures up.

Weak Knees has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Knees misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Cragen looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Knees pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Cragen fails to land with a series of punches.
Cragen will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Cragen avoids the body shot from Knees.
Knees throws a head kick that misses.
Knees throws a right and a left that both miss.
Cragen closes the distance and clinches up with Knees, looking for a takedown. Cragen pushes Knees against the cage but Knees circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Don Cragen. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Knees throws a sloppy head kick and Cragen moves out of range easily.
Knees looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Cragen shoots in for a takedown but Knees shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Cragen is breathing heavily.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Knees is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Cragen fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Knees, pushing him back against the cage.
Cragen wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Knees wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Cragen has him pressed against the cage.

Cragen lands a takedown into guard.
Knees looking to hit a scissor sweep but Cragen is one step ahead there.
Cragen trying to control the position from guard on top but Knees is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Cragen won't allow Knees to sweep him here.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Cragen being controlled here momentarily.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Knees preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Knees shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Cragen sprawls well. Cragen wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Knees gets slowly back to his feet.
Cragen shoots in and drives through. Knees sprawls well.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Knees!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Cragen will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Cragen scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Knees trying to control but Cragen postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Weak Knees will probably get the nod.
That's time! Back to the action!


Knees misses with a takedown attempt - Cragen sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Cragen avoids the body shot from Knees.
Weak Knees seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Knees tries to close the distance and clinch but Cragen swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Knees thows a body shot but no joy.
Knees throws a head kick that misses.
Knees throws a head kick that misses.
Cragen shoots in looking for a takedown but Knees manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Cragen's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Knees throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Cragen's head.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Cragen.

Knees rushes Cragen and presses him up against the cage.
Knees is trying to push Cragen away but Cragen has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Knees misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Knees is breathing heavily.
Knees is pressed up against the cage. Cragen has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Knees down to the mat. Knees avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Don Cragen. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Cragen has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Knees lands a big head kick that sends Cragen to the canvas! Knees follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Weak Knees!
