Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Billy Bob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Boston Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Billy Bob has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Billy Bob!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Boston Jones!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones misses with a double jab.

Bob moves into the clinch.
Jones looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Bob works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Bob with a flurry of punches that miss.

Jones working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bob doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bob manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Bob is looking to work some ground and pound but Jones has wrist control.

Jones can't keep his opponent in guard - Bob advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Bob takes a little break here. Jones wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

Bob is looking to take a break and control but Jones is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Jones regains half guard there - taking advantage of Bob's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.
Jones keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Bob takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Billy Bob just wasn't active enough.
Jones pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Jones throws a right and a left that both miss.
Jones throws a wild body kick that Bob sees coming a mile off.
Jones lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Jones.

Jones gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Bob connects with a couple of short punches.

Jones looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Bob postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Bob has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Jones is looking for a triangle but Bob pushes his legs off easily.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Bob connects with a nice short shot to Jones's temple.

Jones is rocked!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Billy Bob dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Jones with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Bob looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Bob looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Jones is pressing down on Bob's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Bob controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Bob trying to control the position from guard on top but Jones is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Bob lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Bob wants to control from the top but Jones keeps moving.
Jones is trying to control the position but Bob postures up.
Jones avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Jones has his foot on Bob's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bob works his way back into a safe position though.

Jones is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Bob defends well.

Jones keeping moving, preventing Bob from controlling successfully.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bob postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Billy Bob overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Bob has gone for a leg lock! Jones slips out almost immediately though and dives into Bob's guard.

Bob looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Bob is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Jones tries to get to full guard but Bob has control of the leg.
Jones wants to control but Bob is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Bob seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Jones does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Jones won't allow Bob to pass to mount.
Bob throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Bob pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Bob lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Bob trying to control but Jones is having none of it.
Bob landing strikes from the mount and Jones is in trouble!
Jones is still in real trouble! Can Bob finish him?
Bob wants to control the pace but Jones is squirming around nicely.
Jones seems to have recovered his senses.
Bob landing strikes, looking to finish!

Bob looking for a guillotine from mount but Jones is having none of it.
Bob is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Jones can do to turn this around?

Bob is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Jones is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Bob fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Bob postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Jones badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Bob around the waist but Bob pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Bob is the winner by TKO! Bob jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:44 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Billy Bob!
