Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jose Pontes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ruch Chorzow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chorzow has chosen WARRRRRRRRRRRR as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Pontes lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Chorzow might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Pontes with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Chorzow to score with a decent uppercut.

Chorzow fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Pontes's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Chorzow connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Pontes scrambles back to his feet.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Chorzow loads up on a big left hand. Pontes felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Chorzow looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Pontes can't hide his disappointment, as Chorzow celebrates the victory.

Ruch Chorzow decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
