Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Average Joe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and bobby durang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Wesley Smith and Frank Dennis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Joe tries to clinch up but durang circles away and keeps his distance.

durang gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
A right handed body shot lands from Joe.
Stalling in the clinch from Joe.
durang wants to get back to striking at distance but Joe won't allow it.
Joe tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. durang smiles and moves away.
durang swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
durang wants to clinch but Joe slips to the side

and Joe counters with a single leg into guard. durang didn't expect that.

Joe stands and steps away. durang gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

durang stands up over Joe, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Joe looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Joe wants to control but durang is keeping him busy.

Joe is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
durang tries to kick Joe off but Joe keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Joe in particular looking to stall.
durang is not content to let Joe control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Average Joe dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Joe has his takedown stuffed

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
and durang decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Joe's guard.
Joe lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for durang!
durang is working to get back to half guard.
Joe wants to control the pace but durang is squirming around nicely.
durang wants to hold on but Joe pushes him away.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Average Joe just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

so durang counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
durang postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
durang throwing strikes but missing.

Joe is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Joe changes levels and goes for a takedown here. durang fights it off and pushes away nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Average Joe. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Joe is doing well to control the position and prevent durang from advancing to side control.
Joe is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of durang's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take durang's back!

Joe seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down durang for as long as he can get away with.

bobby durang showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

durang moves into range and clinches up with Joe.
Joe stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Joe tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

durang misses with a shot to the kidneys.

durang has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Joe regains guard immediately.

durang gets to his feet. Joe looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
durang takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
durang misses with a low kick.

Joe pulls durang in close to prevent any damage.
Joe wants to sweep but no luck.

durang is looking to get back to full guard here but Joe has managed to pass to side control instead.

Joe has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of durang's face.

Well durang has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
