Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Anderson Silva!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Andrew Berry and Richard Clark.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kerr will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Kerr gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Kerr tries to score a body lock takedown but Silva shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Kerr fails to pull guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wayne Kerr. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kerr fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Kerr tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Silva smiles and moves away.
Silva swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Kerr misses the jab.
Kerr fails with a takedown attempt.

Kerr drives through and clinches with Silva against the cage.

Silva is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Silva has Kerr pressed against the cage.
Kerr tries to pull guard but Silva holds him up against the cage and eventually Kerr drops back down to his feet.

Silva is looking to control Kerr's arms but Kerr gets an underhook and turns him. Now Silva has his back to the cage.
Kerr fails to pull guard.

Silva tries to land knees in the clinch but Kerr avoids the damage to the body.

Kerr drops down looking for an ankle pick but Silva pulls his leg out and moves away.
A slapping leg kick lands for Silva.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Silva closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Kerr quickly recovers to half guard.
Silva is looking to take a break and control but Kerr is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Silva wants to free his trapped foot but Kerr is holding on for dear life with his legs.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kerr tries to roll over but Silva keeps him under control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Silva is trying to control the action in half guard but Kerr is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Silva not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Kerr manages to get to full guard.

Kerr is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Silva frees his head nicely. Oh but Kerr has switched to an armbar! Silva is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
