Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Andrew Slayton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lae Praye (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Praye has chosen Carry That Weight as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andrew Slayton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lae Praye!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Praye misses with a wild combination.
Nice defenses there by Praye.
Slayton defending well as Praye loads up on a big left hand.
Slayton really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Slayton throws a nice looking combination but Praye bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Praye misses with a leg kick.
Praye throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Slayton.
Slayton ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Praye moves away.
Praye misses with a wild body shot.
Praye lands a lovely overhand right.
Slayton stalks Praye and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Praye's face. Praye staggers backwards, shaken.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Praye thows a huge punch but Slayton dodges it nicely.
Slayton regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Praye.

Praye missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Praye controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Praye throwing strikes but missing.
Praye slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Slayton manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Praye manages to get himself to full guard.

Praye wants to sweep but no luck.
Praye pulls Slayton in close to prevent any damage.
Praye's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Lae Praye has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Praye lands a nice looking body shot.

No joy there for Praye, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Praye slips a jab and a cross from Slayton.
Praye walks into a straight right hand from Slayton.
Slayton connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Praye throws out a loose jab but Slayton uses good head movement to avoid it.
Andrew Slayton is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Sloppy strikes from Praye. Those never looked like landing.
Praye looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Slayton throws a hook but Praye avoids it easily.
Slayton throws a right and a left that both miss.

Praye is trying hard to land a takedown here. Slayton sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Praye stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Slayton.
Slayton throws a head kick that Praye semi-blocks.

Praye looks to land a left hand but Slayton moved out of range nicely.
Slayton displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Praye throws out the jab.

Slayton throws a nice looking combination but Praye bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Slayton throws a right hand that Praye ducks under and follows up with a left that Praye also avoids with ease.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Praye thuds his shin into the meat of Slayton's side.
Slayton lands a jab-cross combination.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Lae Praye will probably get the nod.
That's time! Slayton's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Praye misses with an uppercut.
Praye throws a head kick that misses
enabling Slayton to counter with a crisp jab.
Slayton closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Slayton looks to throw the jab but Praye is out of range.
Slayton throws a lazy right hand but Praye sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Slayton clobbers Praye with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Praye looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Praye is just content to waste time from the top position. Slayton takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Praye looking to sit in guard and control but Slayton gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Praye looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Praye lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Slayton!
Slayton can't escape the position.
Slayton blocking the ground and pound.
Praye lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Praye punching from mount but Slayton doing a good job of avoiding damage.
Praye lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

Praye wants to control the pace but Slayton is squirming around nicely.
Praye breaks from Slayton's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Praye prevents Slayton from getting the reversal.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Slayton is rocked!
Oooooh, big shot lands for Praye! Slayton is hurt baaadly! Praye is firing away with more strikes - Slayton is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lae Praye!
After the fight, Lae Praye was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
