The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blastoma looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Schimling is fending him off so far but Blastoma persists. Nope, Schimling circles away and we're back to standing.

Blastoma has hold of Schimling's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Schimling manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Blastoma cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Blastoma shoots in for a double leg but Schimling sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Schimling has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Blastoma can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Blastoma has gone for a leg lock! Schimling slips out almost immediately though and dives into Blastoma's guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Blastoma is on top in guard.

Blastoma seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Blastoma is nestled in close to Schimling, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Schimling had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Blastoma is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Schimling Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Blastoma's back instead.
