Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Breashers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Breashers has chosen Death Is The Road To Awe as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Dan Breashers has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Frank Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dan Breashers!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Hugh Johnson and Eliza Hachem.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva shoots in for a double leg but Breashers sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Breashers tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Breashers misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Breashers darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Silva throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Some wild striking there from Breashers.
Silva fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Silva shoots in for a takedown but Breashers shows good takedown defense.
Breashers tries to clinch but Silva is having none of it.

Silva fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Breashers to the ground. Silva is now in Breashers's guard.

Silva gets to his feet. Breashers looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Breashers cracks a nice hook into Silva's ribs.
Dan Breashers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
No luck for Silva with that takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frank Silva. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Breashers misses with the combination.

Silva rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Breashers moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Breashers is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Breashers is controlling Silva's posture.
Silva cracks Breashers with a solid left hand.

Breashers is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Silva makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Silva thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Silva throwing strikes but missing.
Silva connects with a couple of short punches.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Silva's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Silva advances position into side control!
Breashers on the wrong end of some ground and pound.

Silva in side control, throwing shots but Breashers defends.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Silva grinds an elbow into Breashers's temple.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Silva staying calm.
Silva cracks Breashers with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Silva trying to control the action but Breashers is working from the bottom.
Breashers dodges the ground and pound from Silva.
Silva scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Breashers to see if he's OK.

Breashers taking punishment in the form of punches.

Silva thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Breashers is working to avoid the ground and pound but Silva connects with a decent elbow.
Breashers is trying to improve his position.
Silva works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Silva trying to control the action but Breashers is working from the bottom.
Breashers really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Silva. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Silva lands a decent elbow from side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Frank Silva dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Breashers lands with an overhand left.
Silva shoots in looking for a takedown but Breashers manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Silva's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Breashers throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Breashers goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Breashers leaves Silva with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Silva shoots in for a double leg but Breashers sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frank Silva. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Horrible takedown by Silva or perhaps it was just good defense by Breashers which made him look bad.
Frank Silva is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Breashers's corner calls for a 1-2. Breashers obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Silva changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Breashers tries to avoid it but Silva manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Breashers to the ground. Breashers escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Silva moves forwards but Breashers connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Breashers clinches up against the cage.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Silva has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Breashers is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Silva is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Breashers is defending well.
Breashers tries to pull guard but Silva won't allow it.
Silva changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Breashers fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Nice sprawl there from Silva as Breashers shoots in.
Silva is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Breashers.
Breashers dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Silva walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Breashers has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Silva throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Breashers tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Silva is in Breashers's guard.

Breashers wants to control the position but Silva says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Frank Silva overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Silva has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Silva cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The referee warns Breashers that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Silva lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Breashers hang on?

Silva lands with some strikes.
Breashers is still in real trouble! Can Silva finish him?
Silva unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Breashers wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Silva celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:37 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Frank Silva!
Frank Silva was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
