Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Daniel Rae!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ivan Slump!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Valeri Chadov and Fedor Mirinova.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rae gets a double leg takedown into Slump's guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Rae is looking to work some ground and pound but Slump has wrist control.
Rae has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Slump is proving hard to escape from.
Rae is fighting to break Slump's control of his arms but Slump is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Rae wants to control from the top but Slump keeps moving.
Slump is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Daniel Rae has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Rae clinches up with Slump and pushes him back against the cage.

Slump is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Rae is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Rae closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Rae is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Rae is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

Slump wants to get back to full guard.
Rae is keen to just control but Slump is a slippery customer.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Daniel Rae.

Rae shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Rae wants to take a breather but Slump is having none of it.

Rae is looking to advance position but Slump won't allow it.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Rae seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Slump does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Slump doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Rae throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Slump tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Rae is in Slump's guard.
Rae is fighting to break Slump's control of his arms but Slump is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Ivan Slump hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Slump closes this distance looking for a takedown but Rae circles away.

Rae shoots in and bounces Slump off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Rae is fighting to break Slump's control of his arms but Slump is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Rae is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Slump is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Slump has escaped and now he's on top!

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! And we move into the final round!


A low kick from Rae is predictable there
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Slump has a takedown stuffed.
Slump shoots in for a double leg but Rae sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Rae closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Slump gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Rae to score an easy takedown into full guard.
