The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab by Yamamoto.
Macklin throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Macklin has managed to clinch.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Macklin.
Yamamoto has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Macklin has Yamamoto pressed against the ropes.
Macklin throws a head punch that misses.
Macklin gets underhooks to prevent Yamamoto's takedown attempt.
Macklin goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Yamamoto tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Macklin just stands there and leans against the ropes.

Joseph Macklin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hiros Yamamoto.
Macklin stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Yamamoto is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the ropes enables Macklin to keep the fight standing.
Macklin is pressed up against the ropes. Yamamoto has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Macklin down to the mat. Macklin avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Nice uppercut lands for Macklin. That snapped Yamamoto's head back.

Yamamoto throws a right and a left that both miss.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Yamamoto.

Macklin throws a jab when Yamamoto was well out of range.
Macklin misses with a wild combination.
Macklin throws a lazy right hand but Yamamoto sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Yamamoto fails with the takedown.
Macklin leaves Yamamoto with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Macklin lands a jab to the nose.

It looks like Hiros Yamamoto has been cut.
Yamamoto takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Macklin rushes Yamamoto and presses him up against the ropes.

Macklin stands up and waves to Yamamoto to follow him.
Yamamoto misses with a takedown attempt - Macklin sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Danga de danga de dang - Macklin scores with a four punch combination!

Yamamoto is rocked!
Macklin drops Yamamoto with a straight right hand, right on the button! Macklin follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
