Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Simen Nielsen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sean Knott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Albert Achterberg and Aafke Stam.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Nielsen. Those never looked like landing.
Nielsen rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Knott moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Nielsen misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Knott avoids a punch combination nicely.
Knott tries for a takedown but Nielsen sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Nielsen throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Knott.

Knott shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Nielsen sprawls well. Nielsen wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Knott gets slowly back to his feet.

Simen Nielsen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sean Knott.
Nielsen stalks Knott and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Knott's face. Knott staggers backwards, shaken.

It looks like Sean Knott has been cut.

Nielsen throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Nielsen looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Knott throws a series of punches but Nielsen avoids them all with ease.
Nielsen misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Knott tries to score a power double leg takedown but Nielsen sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Knott somewhat.

and Nielsen counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Knott changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Nielsen looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Nielsen is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Knott's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Nielsen is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Knott is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Nielsen is pressing down on Knott's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Nielsen lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Knott!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Knott is squirming around, avoiding Nielsen's attempts to control the action.
Knott tries to buck Nielsen off but Nielsen takes his back!

Nielsen is working for a rear naked choke. Knott is not defending it well and Nielsen has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Knott refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Knott's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Simen Nielsen!
A relieved looking Simen Nielsen thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
