The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Manoel steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Skinnard.
Skinnard fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Leonard Skinnard seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Skinnard misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Manoel cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Skinnard will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Manoel ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Skinnard moves away.
Skinnard misses with a lunging right hand
and Manoel counters with a lovely shot to the body.
A telegraphed right hand from Manoel misses the target.
Skinnard thows a left - swing and a miss!

Manoel sends Skinnard crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Manoel is motioning to the referee to let Skinnard up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

It looks like Leonard Skinnard has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Skinnard throws a left and a right that both miss
and Manoel makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Manoel steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Skinnard.
Skinnard feints and then cracks Manoel's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Manoel down.

Skinnard takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Manoel lands a big right hook! Skinnard looks hurt but is still standing! Manoel lands a left jab and another right hook! This time Skinnard falls down and Manoel dives in with a huge hammer fist! Skinnard's eyes roll back! The referee calls for the bell and Manoel runs up the cage to celebrate with his fans!
