Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between James Pardo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Da Cougar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pardo's entrance music is Don't Stop Believing. A fine choice. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Frank Dennis and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cougar fakes the leg kick and cracks Pardo in the body.
Pardo tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Cougar paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Pardo misses with a double jab.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Cougar. Pardo shrugs it off though.
James Pardo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cougar avoids a punch combination nicely.
Cougar lands a jab to Pardo's midsection.
Pardo wants to clinch.
Cougar drops Pardo with a right and a left! Cougar comes rushing in but Pardo regains his composure and manages to keep Cougar in guard.
Pardo is rocked!
Cougar content to stall in guard here.
Oh Pardo is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Cougar tries to free his leg and advance position but Pardo is retaining full guard.

Pardo seems to have got his legs back now.

Cougar stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pardo swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Pardo escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Cougar gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Cougar lands a couple of digs.
Cougar wants to stand but Pardo has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Let's hope that Cougar has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Despite being in the dominant position, Da Cougar just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Cougar drops Pardo with a left and a right! Oh, Pardo is hurt - Cougar dives into side control looking to finish!
Pardo tries to buck Cougar off but Cougar is having none of it.
Cougar tries to advance to mount but Pardo denies him.
Cougar really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pardo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Cougar trying to control the position but Pardo is working away.
Pardo is looking for a sweep.

Cougar controls the position.
Cougar tries to advance to mount but can't.
Pardo is trying to control Cougar's posture but Cougar avoids it.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Cougar misses with a few strikes there.
Pardo throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Pardo fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Da Cougar dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Cougar throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Pardo misses with a combination
and Cougar counters with a left right combination that sends Pardo crashing to the mat - Cougar wastes no time in diving on top of him and pounding Pardo out for a TKO! Devastating finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:12 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Da Cougar!
