Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Monty Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bj Barnes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brown's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Monster by Skillet. Barnes has chosen Black Eyed Peas - Imma Be as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown with a lazy takedown attempt
and Barnes counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Barnes feints and then cracks Brown's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Brown down.
Brown lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Brown tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Barnes manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Brown is looking to clinch but Barnes is avoiding it.
Barnes connects with an inside leg kick.
Barnes misses with a low kick.
Brown misses with a hook. Barnes ducked under it nicely.
Brown lands with a good body shot.
Barnes shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Brown changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Barnes scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Brown throws a big shot that misses.

and Barnes counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
No luck for Barnes with that takedown attempt.
Brown throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Barnes.
Barnes throws a body punch but Brown moves out of range.
Barnes avoids the body shot from Brown.

Barnes shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Brown is trying to escape the mount.
Brown tries to hold on but Barnes postures up.
Barnes trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Barnes misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Barnes pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Brown wants to control but Barnes is having none of it.

Brown is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Barnes's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Barnes's back!

Brown is cranking Barnes's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Barnes! He's tightened the choke and Barnes is tapping out!
