And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, George Francis and Alan Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Spurghoff closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Daniels's guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Spurghoff not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Spurghoff's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Daniels looking to control.

We're going to have a standup here because Eagle Spurghoff wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Spurghoff shoots in and gets a takedown into Daniels's guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Eagle Spurghoff.

Spurghoff shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Daniels eats them both and turns towards Spurghoff to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

It looks like Jack Daniels has been cut.

Daniels is rocked!
Spurghoff misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Daniels is still on wobbly legs! Can Spurghoff finish him?
No joy there for Spurghoff, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Daniels closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Spurghoff did well to prevent Daniels getting side control.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Spurghoff is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Daniels seems to have recovered his senses.

Spurghoff has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Daniels uses from the top position.

Spurghoff bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Daniels's guard.

Spurghoff has an Americana. Daniels didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Spurghoff is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Spurghoff hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

Eagle Spurghoff was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
