Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between PeeWee Owens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Devan Little (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Little has chosen This Means War as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Owens stuffs the takedown attempt from Little. Little gets slowly back to his feet.
A nice inside leg kick there by Owens. That's going to slow Little down.
Owens shoots in looking for a takedown. Little tries to sprawl out of it but Owens keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Little manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Owens tries to score a power double leg takedown but Little sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Owens somewhat.

Owens moves into range and clinches up with Little.

Owens is trying to drag Little to the mat but Little just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Devan Little hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Horrible takedown by Owens or perhaps it was just good defense by Little which made him look bad.
Owens shoots for a double leg takedown but Little sprawls well. He's pushed Owens's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

A bone on bone clash there as Owens blocks the leg kick.

and Little counters with a nice double leg into side control. Owens won't be happy with that.

Little is working for a guillotine from mount but Owens frees his head quite easily.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Little throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Owens tries to hold on but Little postures up.

Little stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Little looks for a takedown but Owens sprawls well.
Owens tries to close the distance and clinch up but Little swats him away and circles back towards the center.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Devan Little will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Owens has closed the distance and engaged Little in a clinch.

Owens has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Little uses from the top position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Owens has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Little has passed into side control.
Owens knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Little on the ground.

Little wants to control but Owens is keeping him busy.

Little has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Owens is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Little yanks on the arm and Owens is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Little.
